As he navigates the complexities of his family, marked by the challenges of his schizophrenic brother Morris and the estrangement of his free-spirited sister Vivian, baseball emerges as his sanctuary and escape.

When an opportunity arises for David to pursue baseball in California, he faces a pivotal choice: chase his dreams or remain tethered to family expectations.
